Description

Deficiency anemia, anemia caused by the rapid destruction of red blood cells, hemorrhages, nutritional deficiencies, exhaustion and weakness due to infectious or parasitic diseases.

Pharmaceutical form: Injectable solution.

Route of administration:  Intramuscular, intravenous or subcutaneous.

Use in species:  Bovines, equines, porcines, ovines, caprines, canines and felines.

PHARMACOLOGY

 • SODIUM CACODYLATE: It is an arsenical salt that stimulates metabolism, stimulates appetite and has an effect that favors the growth of animals.

• FERRIC AMMONIUM CITRATE: 60 to 70% of the Fe in the body is found in the hemoglobin of erythrocytes or red blood cells and in the myoglobin of muscles, as well as in hemoenzymes, cytochromes, catalases and peroxidases in the form of heme group. 

• Cobalt acetate: It is a constituent of vitamin B12 and can also stimulate red blood cell production (polycythemia). The mechanism is evident through the production of anoxia, possibly by compounds that combine with the SH group, and red blood cell synthesis is a compensatory response.

VITAMIN B12 (CYANOCOBALAMIN): It functions as a coenzyme in several important enzyme systems, it also intervenes in thyroid function, in the myelination of the sciatic nerve and spinal cord, and prevents the development of megaloblastic anemia.

• COPPER SULFATE (PENTAHYDRATE): 90% of the copper in the blood is combined with alpha-2-globulin, ceruloplasmin, and 10% in erythrocytes in the form of erythrocuprein; copper is necessary for the activity of enzymes related to iron metabolism, the formation of elastin and collagen, the production of melanin, and the integrity of the central nervous system; it is required for normal erythrocyte formation (hematopoiesis), as well as for normal bone formation and normal hair and wool pigmentation.
